HullSpeed F-Series

HullSpeed F-Series base coatings are performance drag reduction products. The unique epoxy/silicone HullSpeed F-Series technology is designed to yield ultimate surface energy for release characteristics and drag reduction while maintaining hardness and abrasion resistance. HullSpeed F-Series base coatings are multi-season coatings that can be applied over traditional surfaces such as gelcoat, barrier products and other non-ablative coatings. HullSpeed F-Series base coatings are applied using conventional application equipment over conventional surface preparations. The finished product is a hard and extremely slick protective surface that eliminates the adhesion of dirt, oils and other contaminates in the water. HullSpeed F-Series base coatings reduce drag and keep the hull extremely clean. The F-Series base coatings can be used as applied or burnished for unparalleled smoothness.

HullSpeed 3000-Series commercial base coatings are the natural evolution of the HullSpeed high performance racing technology adapted for application in the commercial shipping and work boat industry. HullSpeed unique epoxy/silicone technology is designed to yield ultimate surface energy for release characteristics and drag reduction while maintaining hardness and abrasion resistance. Unlike the ‘foul release’ systems currently available, HullSpeed commercial marine coatings are unrivaled in the following categories:

• Surface Hardness
• Product Cost
• Ease of Application (CO$T)
• Tenacity of Adhesion without the tie-coat requirement (CO$T)
• Ability to Repair (CO$T)

Competitive products such as Hempasil, Sher-Release, Intersleek and/or Sigmaglide are applied using non-conventional methods with strict environmental limitations (temperature, relative humidity, etc.) and require a tie-coat for proper application. By contrast, HullSpeed 3000 commercial base coatings are applied using typical epoxy application methods, equipment, and environmental conditions currently in practice. HullSpeed coatings DO NOT require a tie-coat for adhesion.

HullSpeed SuperGlide

HullSpeed SuperGlide is a topcoat finish that is easily applied over HullSpeed base coatings or other traditional hull coatings. HullSpeed SuperGlide dries totally clear and will adhere to surfaces finished as smooth as 800 grit. Very similar in chemistry to HullSpeed base coatings, SuperGlide is a two part catalyzed epoxy/silicone product that provides a very, very thin continuous chemically bonded film as the outermost coating on the hull, and is applied in a similar fashion to waxing an automobile. The finished product is a clear, hard and extremely slick protective surface that eliminates the adhesion of dirt, oils and other contaminates in the water. HullSpeed SuperGlide reduces drag and keeps the hull extremely clean.
